As China's premier comprehensive education institution, New Oriental's Guangzhou branch has delivered full-time DSE (Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education) programs since 2021. By 2024, the program hasd educated four student cohorts, with 24 participants from the initial three cohorts securing admissions to Hong Kong's top three universities - The University of Hong Kong, Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The branch's DSE preparatory courses have served over 1,000 learners through customized academic pathways.
The Guangzhou DSE program features a 45-member teaching team specializing in English (24), Mathematics (6), Science (5), and Liberal Studies (10). All instructors complete a rigorous 3-month training program aligned with international standards, including DSE Level 5 equivalency, IELTS 7.5, and TOEFL 105 benchmarks. Over 60% of faculty members possess 2+ years of teaching experience, with 80% holding degrees from China's 985/211 institutions or global Top 50 universities. Selected teachers bring direct Hong Kong education experience, including DSE 5* achievers.
Through systematic curriculum design and evidence-based pedagogical approaches, the program has established itself as a key facilitator for mainland students targeting Hong Kong's elite institutions and international universities. Its integrated model combines academic rigor with strategic admissions guidance, continually demonstrating strong outcomes in cross-border education advancement.
