Canada AAIP-
Rural Entrepreneur Stream

Canada AAIP-Rural Entrepreneur Stream is the most cost-effective Canadian PR program. Invest CAD $100,000 to obtain permanent residency (PR) for your entire family! Applicants are required to establish or purchase an existing business in a rural community in Alberta and operate it for 12 months before applying for PR. The program consists of two stages:

  1. Apply for a Canadian work permit (valid for 2 years; the main applicant receives a closed work permit, the spouse an open work permit, and children aged 5+ receive study permits).

  2. Operate the business for 12 months in Alberta (minimum investment of CAD $100,000 + hire at least one local full-time employee for 6 months).

As a provincial nominee program (PNP), this program’s legislation ensures a direct pathway to PR—once the EOI is selected, the immigration policy is locked in, making this a secure and complete immigration program.

Program Benefits

Currently Canada’s Most Accessible Immigration Program

The Alberta RES is currently the immigration pathway with the lowest entry barriers in Canada! Applicants only need a high school diploma and an IELTS score of 4 (CLB 4) to qualify! Starting April 2023, the minimum investment requirement for the Alberta RES was slashed by 50% — from CAD$200,000 down to just CAD$100,000. This dramatic reduction now makes it the immigration program with the lowest investment threshold nationwide!

Project bonus period, 100% lock-in policy

While the Alberta RES Program, like other provincial entrepreneur programs, operates on a points-based system, it currently stands in its early implementation stage. With relatively low applicant volumes, the Government of Alberta is not yet screening candidates based on score rankings. As long as applicants meet the minimum requirements, they are guaranteed to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) after submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI)!

Online Business Exploratory Visit – Shortens Application Timeline

While entrepreneur programs in other provinces require an in-person business exploratory visit to initiate the application, Globevisa has secured exclusive online business reconnaissance opportunities with multiple high-demand Alberta communities. This allows applicants to begin their application process without physically traveling to Canada, significantly expediting the entire immigration timeline!
