Greece Type D National Long-Stay Visa

Greece Type D National Long-Stay Visa, also known as the Greek Financially Independent Person Visa, is a long-term residence permit designed for non-EU nationals. It allows holders to legally reside in Greece based on sufficient and stable passive income generated outside Greece. Applicants may apply together with their spouse and unmarried children under the age of 18.

Successful applicants are granted an initial residence permit valid for three years, renewable every three years thereafter. The residence card allows visa-free travel across 29 European countries. After five years, holders may apply for permanent residence in Greece, and after seven years, they may be eligible to apply for Greek citizenship.
