You must enter Portugal within this period and complete biometric data collection (e.g., fingerprints) at an AIMA (Agência para a Integração, Migrações e Asilo) office. Upon compliance, you will receive a two-year Temporary Residence Permit.

This permit is renewable for a subsequent three-year residence card.

After holding a legal temporary residence permit for five years, you can apply for Portuguese permanent residence, and after ten years you can apply for citizenship.

1. Age Requirement: Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
2. Clean Criminal Record: A clear criminal record is mandatory for application.
3. Employment Contract and Documentation: Applicants should provide evidence of their employment contract and relevant documents from their employer.
4. Minimum Income: The average monthly income for the past three months should be €3,680. For each additional family member, the main applicant's salary is recommended to increase by €650 per person.
5. Tax Documentation: Applicants need to provide proof of personal income tax payments for the past three months.
