UK Visas
UK Global Talent Visa Program
The Global Talent Visa is the UK’s most cost-effective, lowest-cost, and most lenient work visa and permanent residence project in the UK. There are no language, no funds, and no investment requirements. If you are the leader or potential leader in academia or research/arts and culture/digital technology,You can apply for British permanent residence in 3 or 5 years.
Applicant requirements
● The applicant must be over 18 years old
● Obtain endorsement from designated government endorsing bodies
● No criminal record
● TB test
For each of the three categories, there are specific application requirements:
Digital Technology
● Engage in IT related jobs, such as software engineer etc.;
● Provide at least two project documents （patent，conference invitation, business contract);
● Provide three references from individuals at the management level within the IT industry.
Academia or Research
● Hold a Ph.D degree;
● Have experience participating in research projects or publishing papers in international journals;
● Provide three references, one of which should come from a referee based in the UK (university professor or other authority figures).
Arts and Culture
● Engage in artistic activities in 1-2 countries;
● Obtain media coverage in 1-2 countries;
● Provide three references, one of which should come from an institution based in the UK.
(If you are working in the film and television industry, you need to have at least 2 films released, 3 national award nominations within 6 years, or you have won 2 national awards before 6 years.)
Program benefits
1. Low application requirements: This visa has no language requirements, no work experience requirements, no funding source requirements for applicants. The applicant only needs to meet the contribution requirements in the industry to apply.
2. Short application cycle: It only takes 8 weeks to apply for an endorsement, and 3 weeks to apply for a visa. As long as the materials are ready, the applicant can get a visa in about 3 months and land in the UK for long-term residence, and get permanent residence in the fastest 3 years;
3. Low application fee: A single application only costs around 57,000 USD, the cost of endorsement rejection is only about 800 USD, and the cost of visa rejection is less than 6,500 USD. (British legal fees for overseas clients can be charged up to only 15,000 GBP instead of 40,000 GBP.
