Walid was born in Lebanon and raised in the cosmopolitan city of Beirut, where he received his Baccalaureate from the Lycée Franco-Libanais. He then, moved to the USA in pursuit of higher education, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Arizona State University in Tempe – Arizona, followed by a Master’s Degree in Economics from Northeastern University in Boston – Massachusetts.

Multilingual and multicultural by upbringing; Walid has extensive written and oral command of the Arabic, French and English languages, and considers himself lucky to have experienced life on four continents from the USA to Europe to the Near East to Africa. All these attributes turned him into a strong advocate for “Unrestricted Global Mobility,” which he considers as the single most important personal endowment for success in the expanding economy of an ever shrinking world.

Walid has more than 30 years of experience in Academia, Business Planning, Feasibilities, Corporate Governance, Finance, Asset Management and Investment. He successfully undertook various projects and senior positions in a multitude of market sectors throughout his professional career, but has dedicated all of his time since 2019 to Global Mobility by Investment Consulting.

Together with his university classmate Amer Charafeldin Khadra, they founded Globalia, a boutique consulting firm that specializes in residency and citizenship by investment. Since its founding, Globalia’s mission has been “to democratize mobility by unlocking the global borders that constrain it,” and Walid & Amer have been fulfilling that mission with a clear vision and meticulous planning. Under their leadership, Globalia expanded its unique business model across four markets, namely Lebanon, Ivory Coast, Hebron (Palestine) and Spain.

Globalia started collaborating with Globevisa on a B2B basis but, after Walid & Amer met Henry in September 2024, all three of them immediately realized that partnership was inevitable; loyalty, simplicity, straightforwardness, leading by example, trust, forward thinking and win-win relations are all strong values they deeply shared, which constituted the catalyst that fast-tracked their partnership and brought it to fruition in November 2024. In short, Walid & Amer are honored to join the Globevisa family, thus reaching new professional heights while, at the same time, remaining true to their values.
