Globevisa Australia Hosts Charity Luncheon: Uniting Communities for Childhood Cancer Awareness and Multicultural Harmony

On August 5, 2024, Globevisa Australia hosted a charity luncheon to support children’s health and combat childhood cancer. The event was held at The Kew Golf Club in Sydney.


This charity luncheon was not only centered around philanthropy but also served as an opportunity to reunite Globevisa’s Australian clients and friends, strengthen ties between the Chinese and local elite communities, and promote multiculturalism in Australia. Distinguished guests included Australian Federal Members of Parliament, Victoria State Members of Parliament, the Vice Chairman of the Australia China Business Council, the Chinese-Australian Mayor of Glen Waverley, and members of the fundraising committee of the Australian Children’s Cancer Foundation.

Mrs. Lily Li, General Manager of Globevisa Australia, hosted the luncheon. She began by thanking the elected officials, sponsors, and high-net-worth clients for their presence. As a global leader in immigration services, Globevisa hopes to continue close collaboration with all attendees. The luncheon provided a platform for communication and aimed to encourage everyone to contribute to the cause of helping children with cancer through donations.


At the event, Mr. Enda Stankard GM from the renowned multinational investment and asset management group MA Financial, Mr. Scott Kelly from Real Asset Management (RAM), Chinese-Australian Mayor Cr Nicky Luo from Glen Waverley, and Fundraising Director Renee Jess from the Children’s Cancer Foundation each delivered speeches. They praised Globevisa’s global reach and expressed gratitude for Globevisa’s role in hosting the charity luncheon. They also pledged to continue focusing on issues such as childhood cancer survival and child health.

Australian Federal Member of Parliament, Keith Wolahan

Mr. Keith Wolahan currently serves as the Member of Parliament for Menzies in the Australian Federal Parliament. Since his election in 2022, he has been dedicated to serving the local community. Mr. Wolahan holds a degree in Political Economy from the University of Melbourne, a Law degree from Monash University, and a Master’s degree in International Relations from Cambridge University. His career is diverse, having worked at Mallesons Stephen Jaques law firm and served in the Australian Army, where he completed part-time officer training, became a commando, and participated in several military operations.



Keith was delighted to be invited to the Globevisa Australia Charity Luncheon. As the MP for Menzies, he expressed his gratitude for the support of residents with Chinese heritage. He strongly supports building an inclusive community and promoting multicultural development. He will continue to advance policies that ensure the voices of all ethnic groups are heard, working together to build a united and harmonious society.

Victoria State Member of Parliament Jess Wilson

Ms. Jess Wilson, who is expecting a baby, was honored to attend the Globevisa Australia Charity Luncheon. She serves as the MP for Kew, the Shadow Treasurer, and the Shadow Minister for Economic Reform and Regulation. She previously held the position of Executive Director at the Business Council of Australia. Ms. Wilson places great importance on the contributions of residents with Chinese heritage to the local market economy and multiculturalism. The inclusive society she advocates for is a shared goal, reflecting a commitment to equality and respect for all.

Vice Chairman of the Australia China Business Council, Rhys Roberts

Mr. Rhys Roberts has an outstanding educational background, being an alumnus of both Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Australia China Business Council and leads the prominent law firm Roberts Gray Lawyers, a pioneer in Agile Law.

Renee Jess, a Board Member of the Fundraising Committee for the Australian Children’s Cancer Foundation, attended the luncheon as a fundraising representative. She recognized Globevisa’s charitable actions and shared that, as the Fundraising Director for the Children’s Cancer Foundation, her extensive experience in major events and non-profit fundraising has significantly enhanced the foundation’s fundraising and community engagement efforts. As part of a small but passionate team, she hopes to collaborate with like-minded organizations to strengthen their ability to fund critical research and projects to support the survival and development of children with cancer.

Nicky Luo, the Chinese-Australian Mayor of Glen Waverley, a key multicultural area in Australia, was also invited to the luncheon. As the Mayor of Glen Waverley, Nicky has worked tirelessly to promote the healthy development of multicultural exchanges within the community, taking into account the needs of residents with Chinese heritage, which has earned her broad recognition and support.
