Canada Express Entry: lowest screening score in past 16 months & detailed screening data of the selections in 2017 and 2018
  • Posted 31 Jan ,2019

On 30 January, 2019, the Federal Immigration Department of Canada has conducted the 110th Express Entry Immigration Selection (EE). The score of lowest-ranked candidate invited was 438 and 3350 applicants were selected for the invitation. This selection was taken place one week after the previous one, making it the third selection in January!

Even though it was an unexpected selection of EE, the number of the applicant selected was at a high point. The screening score was also the LOWEST since October 2017!

The total announced quota for Canada Federal Express Entry (EE) for 2018 is 74,900. However, by the end of the year, the Federal Government had given out 89,800, with an excess of 14,900.

This year (2019) the Federal Government has announced a total quota for EE of 81,400. By the end of the first month of the year, 11,150 of them had been used up. This means that the scale of selection of this year will be huge and there is a positive trend of policy changes.
